The following information is only for persons interested in becoming RMCs:

The FABC is the only Buddhist organisation authorised by the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department to nominate Ordainees as RMCs according to the Marriage Act and therefore legally able to solemnise marriages using Buddhist Rites.

Ordainees interesting in becoming RMCs should first contact their State Buddhist Council with their request and particulars.  This information will be forwarded to the FABC for processing.

Each application will attract an administration fee of $100.00.

Ordainees wishing to become RMC's should not approach the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department as, while it administers the Act, its officers cannot assist you with applications.  Ordainees will simply be referred back to their State Buddhist Council.
